Bryce Canyon Weather

Averages By Month

Bryce Canyon is known for its world's greatest concentration of hoodoos which are the colorful stone formations that make the park more look like an amphitheatre than a canyon. Bryce Canyon is high in elevation at about 8000 - 9000 feet (2400 - 2800 meters) which causes the weather to be quite variable most of the year. Summers are usually warm with little humidity which makes the actual temperature feel hotter than it is. Spring and fall are mild but as it's at a high altitude, expect the nights to be quite chilly compared to the daytime temperatures. Winter brings with it snow and temperatures drop to around the freezing point.
